Sarah E. Land, MAI

Certified General Real Estate Appraiser

Sarah Land is a designated MAI with David Matthews Associates. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and ended up in Evansville, Indiana after attending the University of Evansville from 2000 to 2004. During her time at UE, she attended Harlaxton College in Grantham, England (sister school of the University of Evansville) in the Fall of 2002, was involved in Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, wrote and photographed for the Crescent and Linc (UE Newspaper and Yearbook), was a member of the University Orchestra and Women’s Chorus, and participated in intramural sports. She graduated in 2004 from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and concentration in Marketing.

Sarah began working for David Matthews as an intern in 2003, researching sales, taking photographs, writing up comparable data, and gathering information for market surveys. She quickly learned she loved the world of real estate appraising, and obtained her trainee’s license in 2005. She started gaining experience in residential and commercial work, and by 2007 she had earned her certified general appraisal license in Indiana. In November 2016 she became a designated MAI and she now holds a Certified General Appraisal license in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.  She has served on the local and state levels of the Appraisal Institute from Chair of the Evansville Sub-Chapter to Website Chair of the Hoosier State Chapter.

Sarah’s experience has been widely varied throughout the tri state. Primary appraisal experience has been in the area of agricultural farm land in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee, multi-family residential, subdivision analysis, large industrial facilities, multi-tenant shopping centers, restaurants, retail, offices, medical buildings, rental studies, among many other real property types. Clients range from local to national banks, estates, law firms, farm managers, investors and property owners.

Locally, Sarah is the founder and violist of the Southern Indiana String Quartet, providing professional music for weddings and other special events, a member of the McCutchanville Elementary School PTA, soccer mom of an SSI soccer club member, dance mom, wife of Randy Land (professional photographer), and proud mother to Stuart (11 years old) and Samantha (Sadie) (7 years old).
